Fredrik Karlsson reported the following issue:

The "Kingston DataTraveler 101 (DT101C/4GB)" USB-sticks are incompatible with Ubuntu and the Casper persistent storage. It doesn't matter how I prepare the sticks, using tools in Windows or Linux, I get the same result; system hangs during shutdown and syncing files to the Casper storage.

I did some googling and found that Fedora Core has a similar tool for creating USB Sticks made only for their distro, the tool is called&nbps; "Fedora Live USB Creator" and can be found at:
https://fedorahosted.org/liveusb-creator/
The interesting part with this creator is that according to their changelog as of "2009-12-01 :: v3.9" addresses bug related to DataTraveller USB-sticks, the wiki link is broken though. After a very quick browsing of their forums the problem seems to be related to startup issues.

Creating a Live USB stick with Fedora Core and persistent storage using the DT101C/4GB results in a fully working system, being able to startup and shutdown without any problems.

Therefore the ISO-Image was burnt for the OF-Workshop in Gothenburg on the Sandisk Cruzer 4GB (SDCZ36-004G-E11).
