Documentation Check-In Save



Check-Out
This command allows to declare the intention to execute changes on a Document.
It can be applied only to Checked-In documents.

To Check-Out a document is equivalent to mark with a special sign the document, only the user that takes in Check-Out the document can provide to save changes on OpenERP server.
Check-Out command remove local read-only state for file, so to ensure that user has the right to make changes and to save them.

Only Checked-Out document can be saved to OpenERP server.

Working on assemblies, with a staff of people that contributes working on different parts, the assembly can be left on Check-In, while changes will be executed on each Part working externally to assembly. In case, if an editor requires to work on assembly, it can be Checked-Out just before to save the change (on a part of the assembly) and Checked-In use after the end of Save operations. Meanwhile, Part can be left on Check-Out condition until ended to make changes on it.

Checked-Out documents cannot be moved from "Draft" workflow status.
