Does OpenEMR have a self-service calendar? For example, can a patient schedule his own appointment through a web interface? If it doesn't, are there plans to work on this?

Currently there is no "patient-portal" feature in OpenEMR. I recall it has been discussed before but nobody has taken on that project. It would likely be a separate system with it's own set of users but somehow link back into the OpenEMR calendaring database. The current OpenEMR code base could be used as a starting point and would require some heavy customization.

This has been requested by one of my customers as well. We could do it, but the customer can't handle the funding alone. Is there a model for collaborative funding in the community?
