When I try to find available times for an appointment I keep getting error "No openings were found for this time period".
Version: 4.0 Patch 1
OS: Linux (Ubuntu Lucid)
DB: MySQL
Steps to reproduce:
1. Login as myself (my ACL is "Physician" and my facility is "Lotus Health and Wellness")
2. On Calendar view I click on Add button
3. In popup I leave all defaults and only change the "Date"
4. Select myself or a colleague from Provider list
5. Click on "Find Available"
6. Get popup that says "No openings were found for this time period".
Bug also appeared in Release 4.0 without applying Patch 1
You need to set up IN and OUT for your providers. Start reading from page 25 of the User Manual (Manual link is at top right of OpenEMR screen). If you still have this bug after following the manual, then please re open this tracker item.

RE-opened bug. Reportedly happening despite setting IN-OUT in providers schedules.
On My system, Win 7 OEMR 4.0, I am unable reproduce this bug.
I only get the error when the selected date is beyond calendar slots for the selected provider e.g: If provider X has In-Out set to repeat until 23.07.2014, then his slots will be available till that time (end of repeat). Also there will be no slots before the date this calender settings were first made for that user.

Hi Mukoya,
I have narrowed down the bug. The functionality of IN/OUT setting works fine and allows me to find available times when I have the IN/OUT event repeats extend out till end of 2012. Originally when I was experiencing the bug I had set the IN/OUT event repeat till Year 2050 - and that is when I keep getting the error of "No openings were found for this time period" for any event that I try to schedule for that physician.
Either fix the bug or limit the event repeat timeframe to the maximum allowed by the system.
Thanks.

Had mine till Feb 2014 and was working fine. Now I can see this setting has a limit of about 3 years (repetition)from date of initial setting (at least on my installation), beyond which the error appears.
Does someone know why the time limit was set? Does more time slow down the calendar module?
