Hi=20 i think that eeg can help in achieving this state . but in order to do it with eeg you have to devise a step wise approach - = e.g. something like mearusing the percent of dreaminess and = wakefulleness , and raise it a bit every time .=20 the alpha-theta state is somewhat (or maybe is this state - it would be = interesting to research this with lucid dreamers , or to ask nfb = practicioners) related here (e.g. the spontaneuos images that probably = come from dream space , and being awake at same time ) and i think that = mastering it could help a lot to the lucid dreaming .=20 and from the second hand , according to buddhist tradition ,=20 the alpha-theta crossover is identified as a unique mental state , = differnet from the dream .=20 so maybe there are 2 distinct states : 1. 7.83 peaking=20 2. alpha frequencies over a wide range equal theta frequencies over a = wide range , and rising .=20 maybe the second way is the one for lucid dreams .=20 but this are all just my theories . i think the best way is to ask in = the a discussion group of nfb practioners .=20 good luck joerg,=20 yaniv=20 --------------- Original Message Follows ------------------ From: jo...@sd... Did you ever try to get into the lucid dream state directly from the = waking=20 state? (Also called WILD, (wake induced lucid dream), according to = LaBerge) I wonder if EEG feedback could help to make this transition with fully = intact=20 consciousnes. If I try to induce a WILD with some of the standard methods, there are = mostly=20 two outcomes: 1) I am so concentrated that I do not fall asleep, 2) I fall asleep unconsciously Regards, Joerg ------------------------------------------------------- This sf.net email is sponsored by:ThinkGeek Welcome to geek heaven. http://thinkgeek.com/sf _______________________________________________ Openeeg-list mailing list Ope...@li... https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/openeeg-list Go to the above address to change your subscription options, e.g unsubscribe.
