Hello

Distro: Ubuntu 12.04 LTS 64 bit
MTA: Postfix

Lately I have been having problems with the milter crashing and showing:
warning: connect to Milter service inet:localhost:8893: Connection refused

No additional information in logs.

Running: service opendmarc start will fix is temporarily.
Running: service opendamrc restart shows that it is not running:
service opendmarc restart
Restarting OpenDMARC: No /usr/sbin/opendmarc found running; none killed.

Any clue how to debug this?

I would try manually starting opendmarc with the exact command line your start script uses, and see if any errors result. Also ensure "Syslog" is set to "true" in opendmarc.conf.

Syslog was set to true in opendmarc.conf, yet nothing found that would indicate why it crashed.
Nevertheless, the service has not crashed since.
Will monitor it and report back, hopefully with more information next time will crash.

After one more month, no crash yet.
It must have been a glitch (or at least I hope it was)

    Seems it is ok now.
    Please close the ticket.
