You need autoconf-2.5x and automake-1.5.x or 1.6.x (1.7 does *not* work). Ideally, you deinstall the packages that come with your distribution and download and install them manually to /usr/local. Some of the distributions ship with severely screwed auto... packages recently (Debian 3.0, RedHat 7.something or 8.something, possibly others). Bye Dominik ^_^ ^_^ |
