Provide ability to override default CsvDate value format string at either the Reader/Writer or the Column Mapping level. Currently an application that uses a different date format across many fields must specify the alternate CsvDate value on each field individually. Having the ability to override the default allow applications that use a different format to specify this once, and also provide users the ability to specify optional formats with brackets to support multiple formats without adding annotations on each field.
Current Behavior:
@CsvDate(value = "u-M-d HⓂ️s.SSS XXX") annotation must be added to every field with a date format other that is not the default
Desired behavior:
Have ability to override this default on either a column mapper, or a csv reader/writer
Sorry to take so long getting back to you.
You have to add the CsvDate annotation anyway, if it's a date, so I don't see the great benefit. Sure, the format string wouldn't be there, but if we're talking about a format string used a lot, copy and paste will work just fine. And if it changes someday, search and replace in the bean file would fix it.
