Does the app crash and closes or does the preview freeze and the camera continues to work again when you open the open app manager and select the running Open Camera App again?

The first two bitmaps are processed correctly, that is "time for processing first two bitmaps" is printed. The last two messages before the crash are "time after creating allocation_new from bitmap" and "time before processAvgScript".
Reverting the last commit that touched that code (https://sourceforge.net/p/opencamera/code/ci/c79abf2e0719182213b0a013c8179c04bd843c8b/) seems to fix the issue.

Same issue with Pixel 4a, stock up-to-date Android 11.
Same issue with Oneplus 7T Pro.
crashing on new pixel 6. app closes no photos saved. all other modes work
I'm seeing the same crash in Noise Reduction mode on the Google Pixel 4 XL, with Android 12 build number SP1A.211105.002.A1.
Any other mode works fine, including DRO, HDR, Standard.
I've been playing around with this on my new Poco F3 experiencing the same crash, and have noticed that the calls to "rsGetElementAt_uchar4(bitmap_orig, ..." starting at https://sourceforge.net/p/opencamera/code/ci/master/tree/app/src/main/rs/process_avg.rs#l81 cause it. Note that the calls with "bitmap_new" succeed.
Thanks for the info, that was very helpful! I've managed to find a device that reproduces the crash, and am testing a fix.
I believe this is fixed in v1.49.2 (at least, the crash in NR that was introduced for some devices in 1.49.1).
