#375 can't launch opencamera when screen is locked

opencamera 1.42 code 54

on lock screen i slide my finger from opencamera icon
then
i get numerical keypad to unlock smartphone instead of opening opencamera

Thanks for the info, this suggests it is a limitation of the device unfortunately - as I say, some devices seem to support this for third party cameras, but others don't.

I use Osmand (maps & routing tool)
There is a similar feature. Osmand displays the routing map approaching a crossroad while the screen is locked and switched off.

Then are you sure this is a device limitation and not an opencamera problem ?

Can you clarify the exact steps? The following works for me on a Pixel 6 Pro (with "show camera when device is locked" enabled):

• Run Open Camera when unlocked
• Press power button to turn off display and lock.
• Press power button to turn on display - Open Camera still shows running.
• Pressing home button shows lock screen.

But this may vary depending on device.
