#225 5 to 10% of photos have blueish tint

Attached are 2 photos taken with OpenCamera last year, one showing a blue cast and the other normal color. Any idea what might be causing this? I still have the problem today but I immedialely delete these bluish photos so I had to go back to last year to find some. I have a Samsung S5 and when I use the Camera app that came with the cell phone I never have this problem so it doesn't see to be a problem with the cell phone. I prefer to use OpenCamera and so I am hoping you have a solution.

I have the same issue as well. OpenCamera took pictures just fine on my old Galaxy S4, but recently moved on to an LG V20 using OpenCamera on it and see this issue now. Seems to have something to do with whether the pictures are taken with the flash or not. No Flash = Good, Flash = Blue Picture.

Stock camera app does fine flash or no flash.

Is this with Camera2 API (under settings) enabled? If not, please try to see if that's any better. Also, with Camera2 API enabled, also try Settings/Photo settings/"Use alternative flash method", does that help?

Also it may be worth experimenting with different focus modes, does this happen with all of them or only some?

One thing to try is another third party camera app - to see if it's specific to Open Camera, or something to do with the device's camera API (which the stock camera app typically doesn't have to use).

Also, is this without flash?

I posted this issue originally and I am pleased to see some discussion of the problem. I almost never use a flash but I get the blue cast occasionally anyway but usually if I then take another picture right away it is fine. Using the camera app that came with the Samsung S5 has never had that blue cast problem. As for the Camera2 API I couldn't find it anywhere under Settings. Can you give me a another hint?
