Migrated from Samsung S10e (Android12) to Pixel 6a (Android 13)
I backupped the settings from Android/data/net.sourceforge.opencamera/files/backup but on my new phone I'm unable to access this directory anymore and thus restore my settings. Tried with multiple file managers. Is it possible to open a file manager popup so you can select the location yourself to restore from?

This is part of the war on files unfortunately. It used to be that applications had "internal" and "external" application-specific folders, where internal was secure and private, and external was intended to be public and visible to other applications. But they then decided to make them both private, making the distinction pointless, and crippling the ability to have user-accessible application specific folders.

The solution is probably to switch to a method that allows users to choose the directory to save and/or restore. But I'm tempted to wait a few Android versions, since Google seem to keep changing things when it comes to files...

    Hi @mark-h,
are there plans to implement scoped storage as most of other apps use for ex- and import setting?
