I have a Samsung M52. The default camera app can do 10 seconds of exposure, but OpenCamera can do only 0.6s. Is there a way for me to increase that time?

This is limited by the device I'm afraid (many devices limit the max exposure for third party applications, even if the default camera app allows longer).

So if a device decides to drop those limitations in the future, third party will have all functionality without having to update the code?
If I use a custom rom, will I still be limited?
