I first downloaded this app on my LG Optimus G, however the camera itself kinda sucked so I rarely used my phone for pictures. After recently upgrading to a Samsung Galaxy S5 which had a much nicer camera I installed OpenCamera again. I noticed the on the LG I have a multitude of scene options, but the Samsung only has auto and HDR. Is something blocked on the Samsung that only allows the stock camera app to use scene modes?

This seems to be the case I'm afraid - Open Camera just offers the scene modes exposed by the Android camera API, and I've noticed that some Samsung models don't offer any choice other than these modes.
