How to stop autofocus adjustments during video?

I am not a very experienced Open Camera user but I am trying to use it to record myself giving lectures on video from my Android phone. Every now and then during recording the camera slightly zooms in and out in a brief moment. How do I stop this from occurring? I assume it is an autofocus problem but I haven't seen anything in the settings to lock the focus or otherwise prevent this from happening. I am recording myself in the videos and my face is about three feet from the camera. Would turning on the face detection feature help?

    Please advise.

Caress the 'Three Dots on Top of Each Other' -icon, a dialog opens, on the second row of it there are icons as follows:

      • the ascii character a (autofocus)
      • a cogwheel (macro focus)
      • a sketch of a lock (focus lock)
      • the infinity sign (focus infinity)
      • the ascii character m (manual focus)
      • the ascii character c (continuous focus)

In your shooting situation, I'd use the manual focus. in this focusing mode a long focus slider is shown on the screen, use it to suit the situation.
