I think that after we change an option the menu should stay open; usually we are trying different options before taking the photo to choose the best for the moment and we have to open -> choose option (change iso for example) -> view -> open -> choose option- view -> open -> choose option -> view..... It would be easier if we could change the option - seeing the preview in the background - and then manually close the settings after we find the desired option. The downside of this is that when someone wants to change a single option, it's one extra click to close the popup. Though an idea I had is that doing a long press on the popup button could open it in this "sticky" mode so it stays open.

Google have now added QR codes to Google Now On Tap (requires Android 6) - so you can now press and hold the home button while Open Camera is running and pointing at a QR code, and Google will decode it :) (it'll also do other things like translations).
