I am sorry if this is not the appropriate form to post to but I am looking for some guidance/examples of communicating with the onboard FGPA on the NI-USRP X410. I am running a c application on the onboard linux of the device that generates a random number but I am unaware of any way to pipe that data onto the FPGA without using UHD. For this project, I am specifically trying to get away from UHD and do register communication to transfer the "random" ints into compiled bitstream. Is this possible? I have not found any documentation regarding this functionality. Thanks in advance! |

Greetings, I am working on a graduation project to perform a private network using OpenBTS with an SDR NI2920. I have written an image to it to be shown as N210 on Ubuntu virtual machine 16.04. I followed the instructions for building the OpenBTS software, and for the first setup, the two-party SMS was working well, but the call was not working. Therefore, I installed a new Ubuntu virtual machine and built it for N210 from the start. However, the two-party SMS doesn't work now. When trying to send an SMS, I receive the message "Can't send your SMS to 20230001: Phone not registered here." Additionally, when trying to receive an SMS, I get the message "No global relay defined, bouncing message intended for 20230001." The system can transmit and receive from the same IMSI if there is contact between the handset and the network. However, when attempting to send an SMS between two handsets, the system returns the message "IMSI failed." Please note that the IMSI works if I am sending from OpenBTS or to OpenBTS. I am using OpenBTS version master in both setups, and for each setup, I am using the same IP address, N210 image, and handsets. I would appreciate it if you could assist me in troubleshooting this issue and help me get the SMS functionality working properly. Thank you in advance for your help. Best regards, Yosef Sami |

Hi, I am trying to find the test scenario/code to verify the L1 module for openbts. Before the openbts delivery, there must be unit test/module test to verify the function/quality of L1 algorithm. Where can I get the test scenario/code/data? Thanks in advance! BR, yuanjie |

Can you guys help me create a new mobile cell phone company similar to an MNVO, but using the NaaS technology. You probably cannot until I don’t know what I’m talking about and need help with this project. Am I in the right place to get help to create a new mobile cell phone company? I was wondering, since my wifi hub runs between 2.5 and 5 ghz, if there was any way to use that radio so that I can at least tinker with openbts until I can get a real spr? |

Hi, I have set SMS.MIMEType set to text/plain because I am using Asterisk instead of smqueue. Asterisk doesn't support TPDU. I am experiencing issues if I try to send MO sms in cyrillic. It doesn't arrive to the asterisk at all. If I send MO sms in latin it works as expected. If I send MT sms in cyrillic it is received by the phone but with symbols. If I send MT sms in latin it works as expected. Any idea what is wrong? Regards, Pavel |

Hello Harald,
I try it and i have this message :
The following packages have unmet dependencies:
osmocom-nitb : Depends: libosmocore12 but it is not installable
Depends: libosmogsm13 but it is not installable

Do you have a process top install it with the valid libosmocore ?
I try to compile the last libosmocore from source and install osmo-nitb
with package -> same error.
I try to install libosmocore an openbsc from source i have this :

I've worked out what was happening basically the phone was checking the time timestamp and the payload and if both matched then it would not show it as a new message which is pretty obvious when you think about it, maybe it's a feature of the phone I was using but not something I've come across in the past, it would always present it as a new message. I'm having a little bit of trouble sending binary sms via SIP on the master branch this functionality used to work fine on the older 4.0 branch but appears to not work a few years later now trying SMS on Master branch. I can send a SIP text/plain SMS perfectly fine via ASTERISK but application/vnd.3gpp.sms does not appear to be working. I have my configuration setup to accept vnd.3gpp.sms messages and from the logs it appears that the SIP message has been accepted by ASTERISK and Openbts identifies it as a SMS-Deliver.
