Yes I have double checked, both openRegisteration and db. By doing unconfig Control.LUR.OpenRegistration, the parameter is shown as disabled, users show up in TMSI table with AUTH field=0 , but still they can receive sms sent by sendsms command from OpenBTS to their IMSI and can call other asterisk users. Is there any other parameter needed to be changed for disabling open registration? Please let us know is there any cache that is still keeping it authenticated even after deletion from subscriber registry? Is there any timer that is controlling the registration time? Please help us, how to fix this? Regards, Amber & Sarosh From: art...@gm... Date: Tue, 24 Feb 2015 15:14:50 +0000 Subject: Re: [Openbts-discuss] Provisioning a Single IMSI - OpenBTS To: amb...@ho... Are you sure you have not let OpenRegistration enabled. Cause this should not happen.I just tested registering my work phone on the network and it just won't. Check what you have in your db by nmcli.py sipauthserve subscribers read. Le Tue Feb 24 2015 at 16:11:12, Amber and Sarosh <amb...@ho...> a écrit : Thanks for guidance. But they can call other asterisk users and receive messages through sendsms. If they do so, how can we know that they are not registered. Is there any method to check this? Are'nt they still able to use resources (call and sms)? We really appreciate your continuous help. Regards, Sarosh Arthur Rabaté <art...@gm...> wrote: I am not actually using the sendsms command. I believe a phone can register to the network without being into nmcli. Therefore you can sendsms to these but those phones cannot do anything else. Thank you for your continued help. We have almost reached there but still need your kind help in a few issues we are facing. We have tested creating users using nmcli and it works fine. But now the issue is that it works fine at times and sometimes not. e.g. We create a subscriber with IMSIxxx using nmcli and then use sendsms command of OpenBTS to send an sms to IMSIxxx, and it receives message , when deleted from subscribers using nmcli it doesn't receive any message sent by sendsems command. Thats fine. But after a few minutes or few restarts it again start reciveing messages sent from sendsms command despite of the fact that it is now deleted from subscriber list. Overall, this process is somehow random. Please let us know is there any cache that is limiting its deletion from subscriber registery? Is there any timer that is controlling the registration time? Please help us, how to fix this? Try config Control.LUR.OpenRegistration 0 ? No changes are required anywhere else but nmcli (and OpenBTS for disabling OpenReg) Users might register into the network, but they only receive a sms (registration rejected)and can't do anything (that will not use any resources). I have created entry of my IMSI using nmcli successfully and disabled OpenRegistration, but still other users are registering. Somehow OpenRegistration is not disabled by running unconfig Control.LUR.OpenRegistration in version 5 CLI that I am running. Is there any other parameter that is required to be changed in order to disable this. Also, please let me know that whether the ./nmcli works dynamically or we have to compile openbts again after creating entries in this. Please let me know if some other changes are required to register this IMSI i.e. changes in sip.conf or any config parameter of OpenBTS too inaddition to running nmcli? CC: nah...@nr..., You can use nmcli (in openbts/NodeManager) to register your sim using the imsi ./nmcli.py sipauthserve subscribers create "nameofthephone" IMSItheimsi Ki IMSItheimsi example : IMSI33009000005001 Ki is optional. Then disable OpenRegistration. Only this registered imsi should be able to register to your network.
