Hi Arthur, Actually I have seen traces of a version which actually implemented multiple ARFCN network with OpenBTS. It was the masters thesis of Tom (I really enjoyed reading it), and you can find traces of it on github, but the actual repo is no longer available. Ralph is right about even a single TX device like a B200 can support tenths of ARFCNs within its bandwidth limitation. For a B200 thats 32MHz which is a massive amount of ARFCNs (way more than 40 usable TCH/Fs :-) ). As we talked about this previously: probably EDGE and multi-ARFCN would be the two bigges things to implement in OpenBTS. Only processing and usb limitation can occur, but that will not be an issue with 2 - 3 Mhz of signal. *Is there an old "proof of concept" version of osmotrx supporting this ? and if so can we try it out ?* I have not been coding anything for a while, but I would try to work on it in order to get something up and running. B200 is working perfectly now, I have done figuring out what asterisk does, yet still working on integrating softphones and pstn lines into the mi (especially softphones, PSTN works well). So: new aim : 40 usable TCH/F. |
