Do you have SQLite 3 installed on your system? I'm not sure about Ubuntu 12.04, but on Ubuntu 14.04, the two relevant packages are "sqlite3" and "libsqlite3-dev", so try doing "sudo apt-get install sqlite3 libsqlite3-dev".
