The RRC and NAS layer messages will be the most relevant. In addition
to the log file, many of the messages will be echoed on the command
window without the extensive ASN verbosity so it should be easier to
read.

You should see messages like RRC Connection Setup and RRC Security
Mode Command. How far does your installation get?
