[Open-ovf-devel] How is the open-ovf's status

I noticed it has been several years that the open-ovf tree is not maintained anymore. I need implement some OVF related work thus I'm considering possibly I should not re-invent the wheel. Or at least, would it be possible to put the open-ovf into pip, so that if anyone need it, they can simply pip inistall the package and everything is done?

I BCCed several mail address from the source code, sorry for bothering. If you have any thought, just let me know.
