I installed open-axiom-1.4.0-windows-i386.exe (56883931 bytes, MD5: 3f4d2f0321d6b84fa22e3c24237628c0) on my Windows XP system. When I click on the "OpenAxiom" desktop icon, I get the following message:

""
gui.exe - Entry Point Not Found

The procedure entry point _Z5qFreePv could not be located in the dynamic link library QtCore4.dll.
""

I obtained a QtCore4.dll 4.7.3.0 file (2552320 bytes, MD5: 3c84699204dbd625027d09c2a1046d22) from Qt_SDK_Win_offline_v1_1_2_en.exe (1907658896 bytes, MD5: ef5fa2992770e99e55c56b7f08b4d4a4)--having installed just the "Desktop Qt 4.7.3 MINGW" and "MinGW 4.4"--and when I put it into the same folder as OpenAxiom's gui.exe, it gives the following message:

""
gui.exe - Unable To Locate Component

This application has failed to start because mingwm10.dll was not found. Re-installing the application may fix this problem.
""

I obtained a mingwm10.dll file (11362 bytes, MD5: dbda60d92e774b4acb3b1cd71f909426) from the same Qt_SDK_Win_offline_v1_1_2_en.exe, and when I put it into the same folder as OpenAxiom's gui.exe, it gives the following message:

""
gui.exe - Unable To Locate Component

This application has failed to start because libgcc_s_dw2-1.dll was not found. Re-installing the application may fix this problem.
""

I obtained a libgcc_s_dw2-1.dll file (43008 bytes, MD5: c4b4409f186da70fcf2bcc60d5f05489) from the same Qt_SDK_Win_offline_v1_1_2_en.exe, and when I put it into the same folder as OpenAxiom's gui.exe, it gives the following message:

""
gui.exe - Entry Point Not Found

The procedure entry point ?trUtf8@QMetaObject@@QBE?AVQString@@PBD0H@Z could not be located in the dynamic link library QtCore4.dll.
""

Perhaps I need a different QtCore4.dll, but I don't know which one that might be.

Can a new OpenAxiom 1.4.0 Windows binary installer please be created which includes the files necessary to run the program? Thank you for your time on this matter.

    Thanks for the detailed report.

We just released OpenAxiom-1.4.1 and new binaries for Windows,
where we believe these issues have been fixed.
Please, try the new installer and let us know.

Hi jrredford. This problem is now fixed in 1.4.1. Please download the new binaries for Windows. Thank you for your report.

Things appear to be working. A simple GUI comes up, which is something new over the open-axiom-1.3.0-windows-i386.exe release.

I don't suppose the graphics are supposed to be working with this new Windows release, because they aren't. And I suppose the graphics viewer has to be working in order for write commands (such as writing plots in PostScript) to also work.

Assuming those behaviors are expected, then I haven't run into any problem. Thank you for this release.
