Hello Robert Thank you for your quick answer. I will do test with the WindowsMultimedia driver has you suggest. I think you’re right : after my email I did some test with another Softphone (SJphone) with the same result. Kind regards Etienne Venot De : rob...@gm... Objet : Re: [Opalvoip-user] Help : Delta between RTP packets I am pretty sure this is a function of the sound card and drivers, I have seen the behaviour before. Essentially, even though we ask for a bit of soud every 20ms, you actually get it in that pattern of 2x30ms and the 2 in quick succession. First, try using the "WindowsMultimedia" driver version of the sound device, as I believe it works better than the DirectSound version on some flavours of Windows (8.1 for example). The only other solution is for someone to write a sound driver interface for the new Windows sound API, and no one has yet put their hand up to do that. P.S. It is rather disappointing that your VOIP service cannot handle a mere 40ms of jitter. Any "long haul" Internet call has typically a much larger amount than that! The delta follow the following sequence : ~ 30ms ~ 30ms ~ 0,3ms ~ 30ms ~30ms ~ 0,3ms ... The delta average is 20ms, but it create some cracklink on voice on some voip service. The problem does not seems related to Opal only. My current version is 3.14.3, but while I try to understand the problem, I see that on my own computer I have the same behavior with Opal 3.12.9. Also, on one another computer I did not have the problem at all : the RTP delta is always ~20ms. The computer with problem is running Win8.1 / Intel(R) 82579V Gigabit The computer without the problem is running Win7 / Broadcom NetXTreme Gigabit Ethernet. I have the same behavior with OpenPhone. If somebody already had this issue and find the way to solve it, it will help me.
