#51 Lock a windows file

Good day to you all.
Totally new on this forum. I hope it can help me on ooRexx related questions.
Can anyone tell me if it is possible to lock (and unlock) a file so it cann't be updated by other software?

This is not a bug report...moving it to the more appropriate category.

There is no file locking capability on Windows other than to open the file in read-write mode with exclusive sharing access (which is the default).
