Hi Jan,
Could the Calc acess also be done with EXCEL?
SETEXCELCELL{"C:\file1.xls", "Table1", "A1:B2"}
I am asking because:
up until now, in my opinion, Excel is better than CALC. More functions, more comfort.
(but writer is of course better than word, :-) )
But most important, most commercial programs, like CAD, can acess EXCEL-Data.

Maybe this is asking to much.

    According to

    https://wiki.openoffice.org/wiki/Documentation/DevGuide/ProUNO/Bridge/Using_Automation_Objects_from_UNO

    it is possible to access MS word from LibreOffice.

    But I can't test this because I don't own any MS office product.

    If it works as described on that page it would not be difficult to implement.

    You know what, just get one, get a copy from somwhere. (I would not spend money on this. )
    But Excel is a nice program. It is useful for all kind of things, and better than calc. I lately saw a Dissertation where somebody wrote a FEM program with VBA in Excel. :-)
