I have a 2.6.17 openmosix AMD64 kernel and a AMD64 build of omuscd. My issue is that it attempts to multicast to the default address of 239.192.0.1:1334 - but that is unreachable. My two nodes I am trying to connect up are connected by a layer 2 only gigabit switch. What am I missing from an installation standpoint toget these systems speaking with each other? Thanks - -Wes Wagner |

Has anyone looked into what it would take to port omuscd to amd64? Amd64 is the current primary development platform of openmosix. -Wes Wagner |

I am new to the list and omuscd, and openmosix in general. I did quite a bit of research and ultimately decided that given what we are trying to accomplish, Openmosix makes the mos sense, however, we of course want to use a 2.6 kernel (distribution, gentoo). I managed to get the proof of concept working and will be biulding our first development cluster (we are doing genetic programming). I want to know if there is anything I can do to help. I am going to be more useful as a tester than anything. Our in-house application is a mixture of lisp and ocaml - and I will probably setup folding to run on the cluster when we don't have jobs on it. This should provide some activity to stress it. Sincerely, Wes Wagner |
