I'm currently trying to work with the GMPI workgroup [http://www.midi.org/] to make sure that the features we need for the OMS native plugin specification are considered.

The first step was an evaluation of recently discussed GMPI requirements [http://oms.sourceforge.net/loose/gmpieval.html], and my perspective on how I want OMS to work.

Please read and respond if you are interested, especially if you're working on demo frameworks, trackers, or anything along those lines. This stuff will effect YOU.

I've released an RFC for the plugin SDK. Please read the release notes, take a look at the XML files, and offer some feedback.

I've drafted a few pages worth of documentation, which for now will be an ugly place-holder for the OMS website. I'm currently looking for feedback on the plugin/machine API, and my skeleton implimentations of the core machines (timeline/pattern editors).
