this is a bug in 0.95 pre1 ... it doesn't seem to be able to read the config folder properly .. a little code tracking i found that it doesn't set the $prefsdir (i think i got that var right) right and ends up looking in all the wrong place .. 0.94 works fine in that aspect

    Yes, I still get this problem in the latest version also
    using old style vmailmgrd passwd file. It is an issue with
    dots and colons which was apparently fixed in an older
    version but seems like it has crept back into most of the
    newer versions.

    since then I switched over to using courier-imap with
    vmailmgr auth module, works like a charm without the need
    of weird tricky secirity measures around omail.

    I really wouldnt know anymore, I dont use omail anymore, I
    use Courier-IMAP, seems much more of a versitile interface
    to virtual mail folders ;)
