sorry for my late response.
I looked a bit around and it seems to be a problem with Outlook itself and is not directly related to the LookForDuplicates macro. The steps to take depend on your environment (pst-file vs. Exchange Server). There exist several possible causes:
- For pst-files the error may arise for too large file size (see http://support.microsoft.com/kb/830336\).
- Or it may be related to Outlook Connector (see http://support.microsoft.com/kb/898854\).
- The Outlook profile may be damaged disallowing MAPI access (see http://www.office-outlook.com/outlook-forum/index.php/t/49412/#msg_434939 and http://support.microsoft.com/kb/829918\).
- A corrupted pst- or ost-file may also cause the error (see http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/outlook-help/about-the-inbox-repair-tool-HP003089625.aspx?CTT=1\).
- Some people relate it to add-ins (see steps at http://social.answers.microsoft.com/forums/en-us/outlooksend/thread/93036848-8B76-4345-870B-BC5B2EA4422C#51211aa0-ab01-41c6-ae49-fee5bf9a984d\).
