OJE has moved to the GNU project and been renamed to Classpathx.

This has been done for several reasons:
- andrew is less involved
- the GNU project were keen to have us
- GNU people are interested in helping

The project's name has been changed for legal reasons.

The new website is at:

These pages will remain and Nic and Andrew are still around so if you feel that you want to do something else with the OJE name then please let one of us know.... read more

Andrew has decided to step back from the OJE project for a while.

I'd like to express thanks to Andrew on behalf of the java community for his vision and commitment.

I will be taking over admin of the project. With Andrew's blessing I've suggested that OJE become part of the GNU project as a complement to the the Classpath project (http://www.gnu.org/software/classpath/).

To that end I submitted a request to the FSF last night. Once they've reached a decision I'll post more news here.

The initial release of the JavaBeans Activation Framework 1.0.1 has been packaged and released for download. This is OJE version 0.1. Note that there is some major unfinished areas in this release; please refer to README/TODO for details. Does properly pass the demos from Sun's JAF distribution. Enjoy! If you like, let me know!
