#5 Connection Error

i can't connect a mac under osx 10.6.8 to circuit gear

on manual slection i get no com ports detected

On osx 10.6.8 the CG software reports this if

1. the FTDI driver "FTDIUSBSerialDriver..." from the CD not installed
   (or other equivalent)
2. CG usb not connected to mac
3. leftover stuff in "port.cfg" file in /Applications/Syscomp\ CircuitGear\ V1.19.app/Contents/MacOS/port.cfg (or control-click on /Applications/Syscomp\ CircuitGear\ V1.19.app then select "Show Package Contents" to get to Contents/MacOS folder)

You should see a file /dev/cu.usbserial-<something> (need to use "Terminal" application for this, and for #3 above)</something>

Sorry about these problems.

The first thing to try is installing the FTDI driver, which i some Mac
systems is missing.

Go to http://www.ftdichip.com/Drivers/VCP.htm and download the 2.2.18
driver for Mac OSX. Install that and then retry the Syscomp software.

If problems continue, contact me again and we'll investigate further.
