Server Hangs
Brought to you by:

We do quite a bit of data transfer from a Win2000
server cluster to a Linux box (Red Hat 7) and the
server hangs every once in a while. The server will
continue to accept queries, but they time out (i.e.
the host is still found and from the linux box it's
still posible to open the socket - it just won't
accept any information). The server has to be rebooted
before it will work again.
I'm at a loss for how to debug this further but I am
very eager to resolve the problem.

Instead of rebooting try to stop and start the service.
This works for me.
