Hi all, Just a little email to update you on the progress Outlaw Linux is making. The XML profiles for installing the base LFS 4.0 system that forms the underlying environment for Outlaw Linux, have been fully tested and deemed working. The XML profiles for the basic configuration of the new LFS system (bash profiles, md5 passwords, random number scripts ...) have been fully tested and deemed working. The XML profiles for installing the basic system libraries - o openssl o pcre o tcpwrappers o portmap o libfam o libxml o libxml2 o libxslt o glib o pkgconfig o glib2 have been fully tested and deemed working. Work on testing the XML profiles for installing basic graphical libraries will continue tonight and I hope to release that along with the other profiles above. Then what's left to do is o Test XFree86 profiles o Test KDE 3.0.5 profiles o Produce boot disk environment Still looking at the Christmas holiday period for the first release.
