Image quality greatly reduces when using OCR
Android Manga reader with Japanese OCR and dictionary capabilities

Example high quality scan file https://mega.nz/file/2l9QgQSa#Ux5HqwLoo441csqWbUx5nf_lvBkWmUoLttxjGec6aHE
When using OCR the image becomes highly pixellated and artifacts appear. This doesn't go away until I close and reopen the app or flip the orientation back and forth to refresh something. The pixellation does not go away by turning the page back.
I'm not sure what would be causing this issue for you as the page display functionality and the OCR functionality are separate in the code. Do you see this issue for all files? Which non-default settings are you using? Does this issue appear in older versions, such as v6.6
i tried with v6.4, v7.0, and v7.4
all default settings except i make long-press activate OCR
here is an example of how it normally displays: https://i.imgur.com/RHDjsYN.png
then after using OCR: https://i.imgur.com/CeE6roy.png
the device is a Samsung Galaxy Tab A
btw i'm not sure but i think it may have been working correctly the last few years up until recently? or maybe i just didn't notice or all my scans were low quality anyway
Thanks, very interesting. I'll be on the lookout for possible causes.
thank you! i truly love your tool it is the most valuable thing to my whole journey i'd say.
btw one thing i noticed in the screenshot is even the corner buttons lose quality, not just the image. It might have something to do with how the dictionary window or text is displayed since it seems to happen at the moment one of those pop up
@cb4960 good news! i was finally able to fix this issue by delete all the of data and cache associated with the app.
Thanks for sharing the solution.
