Not everybody has an unlimited data plan. It would be great if one could track all the data offline and store it and then later upload it, via a website or using the program itself (when the device is on Wifi for example). That way, the cost to add cell data to the database could be reduced or even eliminated.

In addition to that, not uploading all the data right away could save battery time as the device has less sending to do.
