we tried it under IE 5 and IE 6, Mozilla 1.x, .. and it all works.
also tried to create a new document and added two headline:
works too. chnaging the headline two times wont make a
problem either. maybe your revision of ie5 you used under 2k
sp 3 was buggy.
or can you write how EXACTLY you caused the crash ?

The problem does NOT appear with MSIE 6 or other browsers,
IE 5 only.

Produced again with two different machines (win nt4 and win
2000).
1. New publication
2. Edit TOC
3. Insert first TOC item and save it (click disk icon)
4. Insert second TOC item and save it --> Dr. Watson
After restart of IE i can see:
Second TOC item was created, but remains <untitled>
Re-editing causes same crash after two or three TOC items.
