Hi Chris, I was wondering if the annotations used in the mapping were proposed for additions to SKOS? Also, have there been any discussions to attempt a more broad consensus of how to capture this type of 'metadata' with the work from others, e.g. Barry Smith/Daniel Schober et al - they are creating a set of owl resources to represent this kind of information. It appears that these various efforts may be a bit conflicting in the representation of this information and I am wondering how those resources that are developed in OWL from the beginning interact with those resources that are converted to OWL through this mapping, interactions as either through the use of owl:imports or some local database store or the BioPortal? If possible, having a common syntax to represent this information would be useful. Although, perhaps this is just where the mapping of representation of this information in various resources will need to be implemented? Cheers, Trish PS - it doesn't look like my mappings made it into the spreadsheet, just tried to point out where SKOS or DC could be used since the OWL resources that I am familiar with generally use these for 'metadata' information. > Nigam has updated the OBOinOWL page, see below > > Begin forwarded message: > >> From: "Nigam Shah" <ni...@st...> >> Date: January 19, 2007 3:36:01 PM PST >> To: "'Chris Mungall'" <cj...@fr...>, "'John Day-Richter'" >> <joh...@ay...>, "'Dilvan Moreira'" <di...@gm...>, >> "'stuart'" <st...@in...> >> Subject: Updated the wiki page with figures etc >> >> Hi folks, >> >> I've updated the wiki page for the OBOinOWL work with more background, >> screenshots of plugins etc. >> >> http://www.bioontology.org/wiki/index.php/OboInOwl:Main_Page >> >> Cheers, >> Nigam. >> >> > > > ------------------------------------------------------------------------- > Take Surveys.
