Both OBI and IDO has 'infection'
http://www.ontobee.org/ontology/OBI?iri=http://purl.obolibrary.org/obo/OBI_1110021
http://www.ontobee.org/ontology/IDO?iri=http://purl.obolibrary.org/obo/IDO_0000586
OBI infection is a biological process but IDO infection is a material entity. So proposed to relabel OBI infection to infection process and need link to IDO infection when we import the term.
Discussed on 11/16/2015 OBI dev call:
agree to relabel OBI infection to infection process and use infection as alternative term
after import IDO infection, will add logical axiom, OBI: infection process has output some IDO:infection
IDO has infectious disease course, which is the process. Might want to check with Lindsay
Also, http://purl.obolibrary.org/obo/OBI_1110093 looks like http://purl.obolibrary.org/obo/IDO_0000452
Of course I saw this AFTER I made the changes and commit. Will keep open then until we sort out the process.
Thanks for leaving this open and sorry for the late comment. I sent email to Lindsay and will follow up either having her comment here or me relaying her assessments here.
Submitted issue tracker to IDO:

Schedule call with Lindsay. Earliest 2 months from now. Have list of overlapping terms compiled by then. Work also with DO.
OBI: infection process has output some IDO:infectionwill this axiom cover the situation that the 'infection process' and the 'existence of the infection (material entity)' overlap both temporally and spatially?
