How about some more details? What tagging method are you
using? I can see the tags quite well in 4.72 (in fact, all
tagging methods work for me). Are these third-party ads?

I try IMG and IFRAME tagging. Netscape Navigator 4.78 on Windows and Linux shows broken image ( as
like missing image). But when I right-clicked image then choose View Image, banner image displayed
correctly.
When I use IFRAME/ILAYER tagging Netscape Navigator 4.78 show strange random character.

OK -- I saw your test page, and in fact, I did see the same
symptom with NN 4.79. My own test page works fine with the
IFRAME/Javascript tagging method.
One thing I noticed is that Navigator is doing something
strange to the source code for the page. When you view it,
you don't see any of the Javascript code (or the NOSCRIPT
code for that matter); all you see is the code that the
Javascript generated. Viewing it in Mozilla gives you all
the source code. Navigator is also inserting a
<BASE HREF="http://xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx/">
(I've x-ed out your IP address for privacy)
at the top of the document that doesn't appear to be there
in the Mozilla version. Quite strange, but I don't know if
this is the problem or not.
I would suggest that you take a look at your Web server logs
and see exactly what Navitgator is requesting. It should
request the test-ads3.html document, and then make a request
for oasisi.php. Can you post the sequence of requests here?

I also have test page for IMG tagging on the same server:
test-ads2.html. And test-ads1.html for IFRAME/ILAYER
tagging.
If your testpage work fine, it's possible this is my server
problem? I am using apache 1.3.22 (compiled by myself on
Slackware).
I setup phpAdsNew on my server also, and work fine for all
browser including Netscape Navigator 4.78.
I see OASIS more complete and intuitive than phpAdsNew. But
if my visitor which using navigator 4.7x see ugly and
strange pages, I prefer using phpAdsNew.

I really don't know what's going on here. Have a look at
this forum topic:
https://sourceforge.net/forum/forum.php?thread_id=646644&forum_id=29988
See if the folks there can help.

As far as I know IFrames/Ilayers are not compatiable with
NS until version 6. Am i wrong?

A workaround for this problem could be using third party
creatives. For me it worked just fine.
