No

GMR created, on accident, two cities called Chicago. One of them needs to be deleted so there will be no confusion. Is there any way to implement a delete city, a delete site, and a delete hotel function in the eventsadmin system? Or is the best way to handle this to report any instances of a mistake and have the web developer fix all mistakes for all regions? I feel that at some point this may be tedious, but am not sure the best way to progress. At least sites and hotels can be edited, and effectively saved over or deleted...but no such function exists for cities.

I deleted the city, "Chicago, IL". It wasn't linked to any sites. "Chicago" is still in the list.

As far as an edit/delete option. There probably should be an edit option to be consistent with the option for site and hotel. However, I'm not sure how often this is required so maybe for now we can have this done manually and then if it gets request more often, we can add the edit functionality?

    Thanks for deleting Chicago, IL.

This is not requested a whole lot, but it has been asked about a few times. I think Edit may be a good thing to have going forward, if it would be easy to install for each region, simply because people often make errors while typing...especially when first using the system and adding things. If it is a bit complex to add, then we should probably hold off and have it done on an as needed basis. Thoughts?

I dont think edit should be too complex. I can work on this...

Since this kind of change rarely needs to happen, I'll put a note in the wiki that the request must to delete or change a city must go to the NTC web programmer. Thanks!

This is the comment I added to our wiki instructions page: Currently, if a city needs to be edited or deleted this can only be done by the NTC web programmer. All requests to change or edit cities should go through the NTC. Adding the ability to edit cities is being examined as an option for the future.
