Category: None Group: None Status: Open Resolution: None Priority: 5 Submitted By: LRaiz (lraiz) Assigned to: Amir Szekely (kichik) Summary: Overwrite ifnewer seems to be using wrong file attribute Initial Comment: Using NSIS 2.16 on Windows XP I noticed that Overwrite ifnewer seem to check file creation time as opposed to file modification time. That may lead to subtle and unexpected errors. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- >Comment By: LRaiz (lraiz) Date: 2006-04-28 14:14 Message: Logged In: YES user_id=1512476 The already installed file was both created and modified on April 27, 2006. The file packaged into installer was created April 17, 2006 and modified on April 28, 2006. I have Overwrite ifnewer but while testing noticed that new file was not installed. Unfortunately I have since rebuild and reinstalled my application, so I don't have original files to reproduce the problem. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: Amir Szekely (kichik) Date: 2006-04-28 14:02 Message: Logged In: YES user_id=584402 NSIS 2.16, as do earlier versions, use the last modification time. Can you add a bit more details about your problem? ---------------------------------------------------------------------- You can respond by visiting: https://sourceforge.net/tracker/?func=detail&atid=373085&aid=1478569&group_id=22049 |
