Category: Build System Group: 2.0 Series Status: Open Resolution: None Priority: 5 Private: No Submitted By: Nobody/Anonymous (nobody) Assigned to: Amir Szekely (kichik) Summary: plug-in DLLs should be placed in the beginning of data block Initial Comment: Plug-in DLLs are not placed in the beginning of the data block by default. As a result, there can be a significant delay on the first call to a plug-in function. This can be worked around by specifying ReserveFile "${NSISDIR}\Plugins\*.dll" but it shouldn't be necessary since NSIS should be smart enough to realize that plug-ins are meant be used sooner than the rest. For instance, on our project (which generates a ~100MB LZMA installer), the setup froze for about 5 sec on the first call to Banner::show before the above ReserveFile instruction has been added. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- You can respond by visiting: https://sourceforge.net/tracker/?func=detail&atid=373085&aid=3048692&group_id=22049 |
