This will allow for better loggign and insight.

Issue now is the acl list. When the server denies access - there is no code returned indicating that.
The log message on the client is simply:

    rpc[np:0]: recv failed: Unknown error: 0: 127.0.0.1

And the TCL error is:

   could not vote in poll: foo : server response error
