[Npsource-cbpmodel] Have you run the CBPModel with Ubuntu?

We are wondering if anyone has successfully run the CBP model with Ubuntu?
At one point someone here tried for a day or two to set the model up on a
machine with Ubuntu and ran into problems and switched to Fedora. But we
are buying a new machine and are considering trying Ubuntu again. Any
experience or insights would be greatly appreciated.
