Dear Open Source developer I am doing a research project on "Fun and Software Development" in which I kindly invite you to participate. You will find the online survey under http://fasd.ethz.ch/qsf/. The questionnaire consists of 53 questions and you will need about 15 minutes to complete it. With the FASD project (Fun and Software Development) we want to define the motivational significance of fun when software developers decide to engage in Open Source projects. What is special about our research project is that a similar survey is planned with software developers in commercial firms. This procedure allows the immediate comparison between the involved individuals and the conditions of production of these two development models. Thus we hope to obtain substantial new insights to the phenomenon of Open Source Development. With many thanks for your participation, Benno Luthiger PS: The results of the survey will be published under http://www.isu.unizh.ch/fuehrung/blprojects/FASD/. We have set up the mailing list fa...@we... for this study. Please see http://fasd.ethz.ch/qsf/mailinglist_en.html for registration to this mailing list. _______________________________________________________________________ Benno Luthiger Swiss Federal Institute of Technology Zurich 8092 Zurich Mail: benno.luthiger(at)id.ethz.ch _______________________________________________________________________ |

I was just setting my user preferences and now all I get is: "Warning: Smarty error: unable to read template resource: "styles/Trendy/tiki.tpl" in /home/vulgrin/public_html/tiki/Smarty/Smarty.class.php on line 999 " I assume that is because the theme setting is on the same page as my user preferences. So, the moral of this story is do not change any preferences!!! :( At least it was a smarty error and not a Dumbass! error. ;) ===== Realms of Wonder - Super software to control monstrous collections! http://www.realmsofwonder.com/ __________________________________ Do you Yahoo!? I got the same 404 error that Squid did. -----Original Message----- From: npl...@li... [mailto:npl...@li...]On Behalf Of Dave Sanders Sent: Sunday, May 25, 2003 2:48 AM To: npl...@li... Subject: Re: [Nplanner-develop] Welcome - Lets get started Oh, one other point: I'll be experimenting / turning on and off parts of Tiki at will. There are a LOT of tools in there that would be useful, such as Trackers, that let you keep tables of information in a more db oriented format than openwiki. And they have an integration with a java drawing tool that might prove invaluable for architecture diagrams. In short, don't panic - if you see something new, feel free to play with it. If it sucks - or breaks, let me know via the list here. thx D Dave Sanders wrote: > Ok folks, after much procrastination, welcome to the list! > > I'll keep this first message short and sweet. Ok folks, after much procrastination, welcome to the list! I'll keep this first message short and sweet. Lets start discussing and writing ideas down. I've got TikiWiki set up for this project at http://www.steelsphere.com/tiki. You will need to go up there, register an account, verify your account via email, and then you should have rights to edit the wiki. (click the wiki link on the left hand side. Will take you to the wiki home.) RIGHT NOW, DO NOT CHANGE YOUR TIKI THEME! There is some odd interation with my homepage running moveabletype at www.steelsphere.com and the Tiki. I'll let you know when I have it fixed. In the meantime, lets get organized. I'll post something about what I see nPlanner being to the wiki, hopefully tomorrow or monday. In the meantime, chatter away on the list... start throwing ideas out there. D |
