For those of you that like taking notes into unsaved "new ?" tabs... please take a look here!
TakeNotes is designed to help people who like to use Notepad++ for jotting quick notes. Instead of using unnamed "new ?" files, this plugins allows to quickly create new empty files in a folder of choice. The file names may be custom generated using a mask and may contain details such as the user name, date, and time of creation so that unique files may be generated. Additionally, the plugin allows to load exiting notes in the folder of choice, save existing files as a note, and open the last saved note quickly. Please refer to the Options dialog box for more details.
It is strongly recommended to use this plugin in combination with AutoSave to make sure that you never loose a note.
I just downloaded your new plugin, in the archive TakeNotes_dll_1v00.zip, to have an idea about it :-)
But, although you tell us, in your install.txt file, that there are two DLL, relative to the ANSI and UNICODE versions of N++, only one is archived !
And, even after renaming this DLL in TakeNotesA.dll, in my 5.9.8 ANSI version of N++ or in TakeNotesU.dll in my 6.4.5 UNICODE version of N++, a popup dialogue invites you to delete this DLL, which seems, obviously, not compatible !
Guess that it should be a tiny issue, shouldn't it ?
Best Regards,

P.S. :
One year ago, about, your plugin "Auto Save" saved me a lot of work, in a big file :-)
I didn't understand what happened. This file was completely deleted, by N++ and/or Win XP. But, happily, your backup ( Namefile.txt~ ) was there :)
So, I have the opportunity to thank you for this very useful plugin !!

If you would like to refer to this comment somewhere else in this project, copy and paste the following link:
I really like the simplicity of this plugin. I installed it on my Win7 machine and it works fine. It is a pity it does not work on WinXP. When I try to load it and it give the error GetTimeFormatEx is not found and according to MSDN this was introduced with Vista.
With the default installation of the plug-in it is no longer possible to type a capital S since you choose that as the hotkey to save the current document as a new note. I have changed my personal settings, but that is not a very useful hotkey!

I'm currently not planning to release an ASCII or WinXP version of the plugin.
