Is there any place that users can give suggestions or ideas on the road of development of Notepad++ ?
For example:
- Programming Language specified toolbars can be added when a user switches between Languages(when user select html, a toolbar can be added with icons to add some basic codes like table, form, image, etc. just like in Editplus)
- A text compare plugin can be good like WinDiff or CompareIt
Notepad++ is a very good tool and can be better with the power of open source i think.

I get to use Notepad++ merely recently. Actually I turn to this editor because my fortran complier Force 2.08 works out really bad on my Chinese operating system, with ugly fonts. But I love this free complier, anyway it's free, and it's really lite. So now I'm struggling with notepad++: why does not notepad++ provide some plugins so that, notepad++ it self as an text editor, can cooperate really good with the lite and free compliers, I mean what ever the language is, C/C++, fortran77, or fortran95.

A text compare would be really useful, considering that's all some products do!
I'm trying this out from Edit Pad Lite. I think what I miss is the reopen previous document list.
I'll primarily use this for PL/SQL and SQL. I usually throw my SQL into TOAD, format it, then bring it back in to NotePad++ to edit. It would proably be beyond the scope of Notepad++ to recognize and parse out and format some parts. What I didn't see (maybe didn't see yet) was something that would add a carriage return, say, before a FROM, WHERE or SELECT statement. Handy especially for big queries.
I'm warming to Notepad++ as I figure it out more. Old (software tool) habits are hard to break.

A change from aspell to hunspell would be a good improvement. Since 5 years now has aspell-Win32 no updates, and hunspell has also the better dictionaries.

jenslorenz came up with/showed interest in a pretty simple and powerful solution to diff/merge in a thread about a month ago, but i haven't heard much about it since. Hey, At least it's being considered :-)

I'd like to be able to have the file locked and read-only on disk so nobody else can edit while I am.
