In my attempt to install Notepad++ v4.7.5 I got the following error that's been reported on this forum previously, was said to be fixed for this version, but prevents me from installing Notepad++.
When the installer has completed several operations it stops at 100% after the operation "Extract: stylers.model.xml". In case it's relevant, I'm running Windows XP Professional x64 Edition Service Pack 2, fully up-to-date. I've also checked to see if any security software is interfering with the installation, which doesn't seem to be the case.
I'm looking forward to trying Notepad++, so please give me your suggestions, I'll take any steps necessary to help rectify the problem and get it patched.

You might want to take a look at an earlier version (or 4.8) to see if that installs and then enjoy Notepad++.
Little did I know that the coming hours would bring an update of Notepad++. ;-)
It works wonderfully on 4.8.1, the problem seems to be fixed. Thanks a lot!
