When using NotePad++ 4.0.1 in Windows 2000, I have noticed that the files and folders (if they have custom icons) being shown in various NotePad++ windows have the wrong icons, which can make it difficult to find files/folders at times. Two exceptions are shared files/folders (which properly show the "hand" icon underneath them, though their file/folder icon is still wrong), and folders without custom icons. Uninstalling and reinstalling NotePad++ does not fix this problem.
This issue is not present in NotePad++ 4.0.1 on Windows XP, or NotePad++ 3.9 and below in Windows 2000 - in both of these cases, files and folders have the correct icons shown.

I gather that this isn't fixable in Win 2000. I would welcome an option to turn off icons altogether as I find them very distracting.
I notice the that wrong icons even extend to the file/save dialog.

I've updated my copy of NotePad++ to 4.0.2 recently, and this issue is still present in Windows 2000.
